Katrina M. Register (formerly “Geary”), Esquire has been a member of Trimble & Register since 2009. Katrina joined the firm as an associate attorney in 2011. Her practice is concentrated on areas of Complex Civil Litigation, Consumer Fraud, Business Disputes, Education Law, Personal Injury, Family Law and Municipal Law.
Katrina was born in Voorhees, New Jersey and raised in Hammonton/Winslow Township, New Jersey. In 2004, Katrina moved to Ohio and worked part-time as a licensed optician, paralegal and correctional officer throughout college. In 2008, Katrina graduated from the University of Cincinnati with a Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice.
During the Summer of 2009, Katrina completed an legal internship program at the New Jersey Office of the Governor, Trenton, NJ. She conducted a comparative analysis of New Jersey statutes and similar Pennsylvania, Delaware, New York and Maine statutes and prepared research proposals in an effort to increase revenue for the Governor’s Commission on the Horse Racing Industry.
While in law school and working for Trimble & Register, Katrina taught courses in Criminal law and Constitutional law to numerous inner city Camden high schools and Juvenile detention centers in Burlington County. During Katrina’s third year of law school, she provided legal representation to children in juvenile court hearings pursuant to NJ Practice Rule 1:21-3.
Katrina also researched South African Constitutional Law with an emphasis on the South African Juvenile Justice System. Prior to graduating, Katrina had the opportunity visit South Africa. She attended the Constitutional Court of South Africa in Johannesburg, visited Kruger National Park, Cape of Good Hope and Robben Island along with climb Table Mountain in Cape Town.
In 2011, Katrina received her Juris Doctor from the Rutgers School of Law-Camden where she earned an award for her service and recognition for 40+ hours of pro bono commitment.
Currently, Katrina resides with her husband, Brandon, and two children in Camden County, NJ. When Katrina is not writing legal briefs and advocating for her clients, Katrina and Brandon spend time with their children and four-legged companions, two dogs and horse. Katrina enjoys the beach, horseback riding, hiking, traveling and spending time with family. Katrina is active in her community and church as well as volunteers her time to mentor young adults in pursuing higher education.
